Police investigate fatal hit and run crash involving dog walker in Carmarthenshire

A man was walking his dog in the village of Llanpumpsaint when he was hit last night.

An investigation is underway into a fatal hit and run crash in Carmarthenshire.

Police tell us a man was walking his dog last night in the village of Llanpumpsaint near to Caer Salem Baptist Chapel between 6.45pm and 7.45pm when he was hit.

He died from his injuries and his family is being supported by specialist officers.

The Dyfed Powys force says it's looking to trace a man driving a blue vehicle which left the scene which is said to have noticeable damage to it.

Anyone with information or who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police.
