England beat Wales to reach Euros knock-out stage

Heartbreak for Wales, while England are through to the knock-out stage after the two sides met in the Euros tonight (Sun 13th July).

England beat Wales by 6-1 in the final group D game, with goals from Stanway, Toone, Hemp, Russo, Mead and Beever-Jones for England.

In the other group D match, France came from behind to beat the Netherlands, meaning France tops the group and England finish second.

The Lionesses will now play Sweden in the quarter finals.
