A cat in Cornwall has returned home dyed bright blue after getting caught up in gender reveal celebrations.

Sophie Jenkin from Heamoor in Penzance posted on a local Facebook yesterday (1 July) to express her surpise and concern after her two-year-old tabby cat Wilbur turned up at home an unusual colour.

Sophie initially though kids has been targeting cats in the area but a neighbour later revealed on Facebook that she had held a gender reveal party.

Children had been kicking footballs filled with blue cornstarch and it appears Wilbur must have decided to roll in what was left behind.

Wilbur has now returned to her normal colour after a bath

Sophie has told us about the moment she first saw Wilbur: "We were celebrating the football came outside and realised my cat was blue. "

Wilbur has now been washed and her coat has returned to her normal colour.
