A baby boy has died after being found in a critical condition in Middlesbrough.

The three-month old was found at a property in Eston on Sunday (5th October). He was taken to hospital in a critical condition but died.

Cleveland Police said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the baby during this very difficult time.

"A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection and he currently remains in police custody."

The man is due to appear at Teesside Crown Court next month.
