Attempted murder arrest after teenager stabbed in Plymouth

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenager was found with stab wounds in Plymouth city centre.

A 14-year-old was found seriously hurt in the Notte Street and Athanaeum Street area of the city centre at around 6.50pm on Monday 22 December.

The suspect remains in police custody.

A spokesperson said: "The victim was taken straight to hospital by ambulance crews where he remains receiving treatment. His injuries are not being treated as life-threatening.

"Detectives continue to progress enquiries and there will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days."
