15 year-old charged after alleged Southend fight

A 15 year-old from North London has been charged in connection with an alleged fight in Southend High Street on Friday.

He has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a Class B drug. They will appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on 22 June.

A 12-year-old girl from Southend was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and violent disorder, she has been released on bail while enquiries continue.

A dispersal order for the surrounding area continues to remain in place until 8pm.
