Last updated 49 minutes ago
There’s a fresh shake‑up happening at The White Lotus, and this time the show is swapping tropical skies for the French Riviera. Season four of Mike White’s hit HBO anthology is checking into a brand‑new location, with a sprawling ensemble already booked in for another tension‑filled holiday.
Plot details are, as ever, closely guarded, but expect sun, social satire and at least a FEW emotional meltdowns when the next check‑in finally opens. Here's everything we know about the fourth season...
Who joins the cast of The White Lotus season 4 ?
Oscar winner Ben Kingsley, The Handmaid's Tale's Max Minghella and Mister 8's Pekka Strang have all signed on in recurring roles for season four, though their characters are being kept tightly under wraps for now. Their arrival rounds out an already stacked ensemble that was previously announced for the new run.
They join Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Laura Dern, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani and Nadia Tereszkiewicz.
Also on the call sheet are Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer and Laura Smet. With that line-up, expect Cannes-level drama before anyone even hits the red carpet.
What is The White Lotus about?
The White Lotus is an anthology series that follows the guests and employees at different locations of the ultra-luxe White Lotus hotel chain, where dream holidays quickly curdle into sun‑drenched nightmares.
Across each week-long stay, simmering tensions, social satire and dark secrets bubble up between wealthy visitors and the staff paid to cater to their every whim.
Created, written and executive produced by Mike White, the show mixes sharp comedy with awkward drama as picture‑perfect resorts expose very messy personal lives.

What is Season 4 about?
The fourth season once again follows a new crowd of guests and workers as they descend on Cannes, with more scandal promised amid the glitz of the world’s most iconic film festival.
What happened in season 3?
SPOILER ALERT! Season three of The White Lotus took the action to a luxury wellness resort in Thailand, focusing on a new collection of wealthy guests whose spiritual getaways went spectacularly off‑course. The story followed the lives of staff and visitors over a single fraught week, digging into family tensions, financial strain and increasingly dangerous decisions behind the retreat’s serene façade.
As in previous seasons, seemingly minor slights and long‑buried resentments escalated into shocking confrontations, highlighting the show’s rep for slow‑burn chaos in paradise. The Thailand chapter wrapped with emotional and literal fallout that left fans eager to see where the next White Lotus location (and its latest doomed holidaymakers) would land.
When is season 4 out?
The White Lotus season 4 is expected to release in 2027, as production began in April 2026.
Where can I watch it?
The White Lotus seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Sky Atlantic, and HBO Max.
