News about the upcoming Peaky Blinders "next generation" series is really hotting up. First, we had the confirmation that it was happening; then, we found out that Jamie Bell will lead the cast as Duke Shelby with Stranger Things' Charlie Heaton portraying his half brother, Charles Shelby.
Now, even more names have been added to the cast - including Game of Thrones legend Conleth Hill - plus the return of Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong and Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs from the original series and the film, The Immortal Man.
Who is in the cast of the next generation Peaky Blinders series?
Conleth Hill as Clemmy Keeler
Conleth Hill is best known for his role on Game of Thrones, where he portrayed Lord Varys AKA the Spider. As well as being a prolific stage actor, he's also appeared in the likes of Suits, Inside No. 9, Sherlock, Foyle's War, Stan Lee's Lucky Man, Doc Martin, Holding, Derry Girls, The Power of Parker, 3 Body Problem and The Cleaner among others.
According to the BBC, his character Clemmy Keeler is 'the fierce patriarch of the Keeler gangster family who rival the Peaky Blinders' ambitions to rebuild Birmingham', with the character's son Aidan also being announced as a key character.
Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs
Fans will be delighted to see Packy Lee reprise his role as Johnny Dogs. Being a long-serving member of the cast throughout the original series as well as the film, The Immortal Man, Johnny was always seen as former protagonist Tommy Shelby's right hand man - and it remains to be seen whether he'll continue this for the new central characters, Tommy's sons Charles and Duke.
He's best known for his role as Johnny Dogs, but has also had roles in The Witcher, Derry Girls and Blue Lights as well as many film roles.
Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong
Fans will be equally thrilled to discover that Charlie Strong will return, played by Ned Dennehy. Charlie was the uncle of Tommy Shelby, being his mother's brother and therefore also had connections to the Romani side of the family. Charlie always attempted to steer Tommy in the right direction - being something of a conscience for him - so again we'll soon find out whether he continues on this path to assist his great-nephews.
Ned is most widely recognised for his role on Peaky Blinders, which he also reprised for the film The Immortal Man, but has also appeared in one of the Harry Potter films, Parade's End, Luther, Good Omens, Outlander and Shōgun.
Cal O'Driscoll as Aidan Keeler
Cal O'Driscoll will portray Aidan Keeler, the son of Conleth Hill's character Clemmy Keeler. So far, that's all we know about Aidan. Cal has so far had credits in plenty of TV shows, including Vikings: Valhalla, Sheridan Smith drama The Teacher, BBC show Video Nasty and Obituary.
Samuel Bottomley as Eliot
Samuel Bottomley has been cast as Eliot, part of Duke Shelby's Peaky Blinders gang. Samuel will be a familiar face to fans of British telly, having starred in The Teacher, Am I Being Unreasonable?, Coldwater, Wolf Hall and Ackley Bridge, as well as Pierce Brosnan film The Last Rifleman and the film adaptation of musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie.
Lucie Shorthouse as Kezia Lee
Lucie Shorthouse will portray Kezia Lee, who is also a member of Duke's Peaky Blinders gang. She will be best known for her main role in Channel 4 show We Are Lady Parts, having also appeared in Line of Duty, Henpocalypse!, The Long Shadow, Rebus and Midsomer Murders.
Arturo Muselli as Angelo
Arturo Muselli has been announced as the character Angelo, who will be part of the Peaky Blinders gang run by Duke Shelby - and that's all we know about his character so far. Arturo is an Italian actor and has many credits in Italian TV and film.
Eugene Collins as Frank
Another member of Duke's gang, Eugene Collins will play Frank. Eugene has had small roles in soaps Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, as well as being in The Bay, Casualty and comedy The Other One.
Daniel Monks as Detective Inspector Bell
Daniel Monks has been announced as Detective Inspector Bell, and will also be familiar to Game of Thrones as he has portrayed Ser Manfred Dondarrion in spin-off series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. He's also been in Ricky Stanicky, The Split, Silent Witness, Waiting for the Out and All Her Fault.
