Following three successful rebooted series and two celebrity specials, it's no surprise BBC bosses have commissioned yet another instalment of Saturday night entertainment show Gladiators.

Promising to push contenders harder than ever, the new series will include a brand new event, as well as classics like Duel, Hang Tough and of course, The Eliminator. Last year's new additions Everest, Destruction and Suspension Bridge will also return.

Kalpna Patel‑Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, says: “Since Gladiators burst back onto screens in 2024, it’s been amazing to see families across the UK rally behind the contenders and champion our phenomenal Gladiators as the true stars of Saturday nights. With a brand‑new series confirmed and another Celebrity Special on the way, audiences can look forward to even more colossal clashes, even more edge of your seat excitement and plenty of opportunities to raise those foam fingers high once again.”

Dan Baldwin, Managing Director of Hungry Bear Media added: “We are immensely proud to welcome Gladiators back to its rightful home on the BBC. When does the new series start?

There's no exact start date just yet, but BBC bosses have announced it will be in 2027. In past years, the series has started in January.

Who are the hosts?

Father and son duo Bradley and Barney Walsh will return to host series four.

How many episodes?

Series four will be made up of 11x60 minute episodes, whilst the celebrity special will a one-off special.

Can I apply to be on the show?

Unfortunately, applications closed in June 2026.

Just like the first three series, series four will take place at the Sheffield arena at various dates in July and August 2026.

Can I get tickets?

Who is on the celebrity special?

No names have been revealed for the third celebrity special just yet. In the past, celebs such as Vogue Williams, Sam Thompson, Joel Dommett and Nicola Adams have taken part.
