Bridgerton season five: First look pics revealed as production starts
Francesca and Michaela are the season 5 leads
Just earlier this year, the highly-anticipated season 4 of Bridgerton arrived in two parts, so fans will be super excited to hear that production for the next season is underway.
Following the exciting news last year that Bridgerton would be renewed for seasons 5 and 6, some new pics have been revealed along with details of the next season.
This season will concentrate on the characters Lady Francesca Stirling and Michaela Stirling, played by Hannah Dodd and Masali Baduza, as they find themselves in the show's first same-gender relationship.

When is it set?
It is set two years after John's death. As fans will know, John (Lord John Stirling) was Francesca's husband who died suddenly.
What is it about?
Tudum say of the season: 'Season 5 begins two years after John’s death, when Francesca decides to reenter the marriage mart for practical reasons. But when John’s cousin Michaela returns to London to tend to the Kilmartin estate, Francesca’s complicated feelings will have her questioning whether to stick to her pragmatic intentions or pursue her inner passions.'
Is there a trailer?
The season has only just started filming, so there isn't a trailer just yet. However, announcing the season is in production, Netflix did share a short clip showing Francesca and Michaela standing next to each other, touching each others' hands.
When will it be released?
A release date has not been announced.
How to watch it
You will be able to watch it on Netflix once it has been released. Seasons 1 - 4 are now available to watch.
