Action-packed trailer drops for Blue Lights series four

Excitement is brewing amongst fans as the trailer for the new series of Blue Lights has now landed. Sharing the action-packed new trailer, the BBC wrote on Instagram: 'Their toughest shift yet. Get ready for #BlueLights Series 4, coming to BBC iPlayer this autumn.'
The clip shows Constables Grace Ellis, Tommy Foster, and Annie Conlon three years into their jobs as response officers, while facing a threat on the streets 'that the police can barely control'.
The trailer also shows the murder trial of Gerry Cliff get underway, bringing its own dangers — and exposing a 'long-buried secret'.
Earlier this year, the BBC shared a teaser trailer, writing on X at the time: 'Watch a new teaser trailer for Blue Lights Series 4! A first-look teaser for the fourth series has been released. Coming to @BBCiPlayer this autumn'.
The short video, which lasts just 29 seconds, shows Constable Shane Bradley (Frank Blake) stop an elderly driver, David (Trevor Gill) and his passenger, Imelda (Rosamund Monteith), in the hope to improve Blackthorn’s crime statistics.
The elderly driver then get questioned about when he last had an alcoholic drink. Watch it below.
The teaser trailer was followed by a full trailer on 28th August, which was shared alongside the caption: 'Their toughest shift yet. Get ready for #BlueLights Series 4, coming to BBC iPlayer this autumn. Series 1–3 are available to watch now.

The trailer followed news earlier this year that the fourth series of the popular TV show had wrapped. Sharing the news on social media, Two Cities Television wrote: 'That’s a WRAP on @bluelightstvofficial SERIES 4🎬
'16 incredible shoot weeks with the best cast and crew ☘️
'Huge love to everyone who has helped make this series come together. We can’t wait to show you what’s in store!'

The usual faces from the first three series of Blue Lights will all return for the next series, along with Richard Dormer, Hannah McClean and Jonathan Harden also returning to the cast. Cathy Tyson, Michael Smiley and Andrea Irvine will also appear in series four.
Along with sharing the teaser, and now the trailer, the BBC also revealed we can expect the new series to land this Autumn, however they haven't yet given an exact date.
When will it be released?
There's no word yet on the exact release date, but it will be out in the Autumn.
