Robbie Williams leads special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at The BRIT Awards 2026
He was joined by British and international musical talent
Robbie Williams, joined by British and international musical talent, has paid tribute to the late Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne at The BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard. The musicians included several from Ozzy’s band over the years: Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde.
Robbie, who was personally invited by Sharon Osbourne to be part of the special moment, took to the stage to perform a special arrangement of ‘No More Tears’, curated by Sharon. 'No More Tears' was the title track from Ozzy’s multi-million selling 1991 album of the same name.
The performance saw Robbie front the super-band, surrounded by pyro and a backdrop of pictures of Ozzy with his family.
Ahead of the performance, Dolly Parton, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne all paid tribute to the late singer. Dolly, via video from Nashville, said: "What an incredible life to celebrate. Ozzy Osbourne dedicated his entire life to music and his legacy has left a permanent imprint in the fabric of music lovers everywhere. Now talk about stealing the show. Ozzy knew how to get your attention with his love of theatrics, his musical gifts – he could turn any occasion into a full blown show – and at his very core Ozzy Osbourne was a showman."
Sharon then remembered her husband saying: "I am honoured to accept this award for my gorgeous husband…god knows I wish he was here to accept it himself…but I know that Ozzy is looking down on us all right now.”
"My old man was blessed with a one in a million career. He was at the top of his game for 56 years…Ozzy was authentic, gifted, totally unpredictable, a wild man – he was a true artist. He came from a small working class neighbourhood in Birmingham and he rose to become one of the most recognisable and respected musicians of his life…he never stopped pushing himself tirelessly…at the end of the day, he will always be a rock star.'
Sharon continued: "This award goes to his incredible family, it goes to so many musicians who helped Ozzy along the way…and his crew who were always there and who never let him down."
Kelly added: "Thank you for loving my father as much as we do, and I hope I don't disrespect Manchester by saying this, but up the Villa and Birmingham forever."
Along with paying tribute to the late singer, ahead of the The BRIT Awards, the singer was also announced as the winner for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Speaking about the award, Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK said: "Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music. Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed. This Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a remarkable legacy built on originality and enduring influence, that continues to connect with fans worldwide."
Ozzy sadly passed away last year at the age of 76, just two weeks after he performed with Black Sabbath at a farewell gig in Birmingham.
Aside from being part of the legendary rock band Black Sabbath, Ozzy was also known for his involvement in the reality TV series The Osbournes, which followed him with his wife Sharon, and children Kelly and Jack. His third child Aimee was not featured in the show.
