We're just hours away from the release of Sombr's latest song, which he has been teasing for a while. The new track called 'My Body Isn't Ready', will drop late on 25th June 2026, so let's find out more about it.

Sombr first started to tease the follow-up to his UK Number 4 single 'Homewrecker', and 'Potential' on 17th June 2026. He shared a video of himself singing along to the new track, filmed in a hotel room ahead of the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The singer can be seen wearing a black suit and singing, before falling onto the double bed behind him.

At present there isn't a music video as the song hasn't been released, however, Sombr has announced the video will be released with the song at 11pm BST on Thursday 25th June 2026.

The video will star American actress Inde Navarrette, along with Josh Heuston who plays Justin Kohl in Off Campus. Inde is known for her roles in 13 Reasons Why and Superman & Lois.

What are the lyrics?

In the clips that Sombr has released, he can be seen singing the lyrics: 'I like you but my body isn't ready / I want you but the mirror won't let me / I try to be the person you're expecting / But I'm not ready / I'm not ready.'

What is the song about?

In a TikTok, Sombr revealed a bit about the song, writing: 'I wrote this song about how every time I want someone, I'm too insecure about my body to do anything about it.'

It will be released at 3pm PST (Pacific Standard Time), which is 11pm BST, on Thursday 25th June 2026.

Sombr has not announced what album the song will feature on. So far this year he has also released 'Homewrecker' and 'Potential', which don't feature on an album at the moment.
