Stranger Things actor Jamie Campbell Bower releases new song 'Waiting for Your Love'
The first song he's recorded with brother Sam since their punk days in COUNTERFEIT.
Stranger Things actor Jamie Campbell Bower, who played Vecna/One/Henry Creel in the hit Netflix series, has premiered a cinematic new song ‘Waiting for Your Love’.
Years before he landed the role as the bloodcurdling Stranger Things villain, London-born Jamie Campbell Bower fronted the punk rock band COUNTERFEIT.
Also featuring his younger brother Sam Bower on guitar, COUNTERFEIT. released the studio album ‘Together We Are Stronger’ in 2017 and played high-profile events including Reading & Leeds Festival before they called it a day in 2020.
Six years after the band’s demise, Jamie has joined forces musically with Sam again for the first time since COUNTERFEIT.
Teasing the track on Wednesday (18th March), Jamie said: “I made a song, it’s called 'Waiting For Your Love', it’s out tomorrow. Sam wore slippers to help make this track. That seems important.”
Available to listen to below, ‘Waiting for Your Love’ is an uplifting piano-led anthem that sees Jamie’s powerful voice take centre stage.
Recorded at Dean Street Studios in Soho, London, ‘Waiting for Your Love’ was written and performed by Jamie Campbell Bower with Sam on co-production duties.
