Three men arrested during Bridlington coastal patrols

Bridlington Neighbourhood Beat Officers made three arrests during their routine coastal patrols in East Riding of Yorkshire on Monday, 17th August 2026.
A man sought in connection with a shop theft on Scarborough Road in Bridlington, which occurred on 10th August 2026, was identified and apprehended by the officers.
Additionally, a second man was arrested for failing to appear at Hull Magistrates Court.
The third arrest involved a man linked to reports of public disorder on Wellington Road in Bridlington on 17th August 2026, as well as criminal damage on Holyrood Avenue on 16th August 2026.
All three individuals are currently in police custody assisting with ongoing enquiries.
Operation Coastline aims to keep coastal towns and resorts safe, reducing crime and antisocial behaviour, and providing reassurance to communities during busy periods.
The initiative targets the increase in visitors during this time of year, addressing issues like antisocial behaviour and opportunistic crimes before these incidents occur.
