Police make arrest following report a man was making threats with knife in North Yorkshire

Two other people have been arrested as part of the investigation

Police have made an arrest following reports of a man making threats with a knife in York.

They were called out to an address on Fossway at lunchtime on Tuesday (8th April 2025).

A 24-year-old man has been arrested.

A 19-year-old man, who was wanted in connection with a domestic incident earlier that morning, was also arrested.

During a search of the property, officers discovered what is believed to be a quantity of class A drugs and a 24-year-old woman was arrested.

All three were further arrested on suspicion of Class A drug supply offences and have been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.

North Yorkshire Police said:

"We can reassure nearby residents that this was an isolated incident. We are committed to responding swiftly and decisively to any individual engaging in such dangerous behaviour within our communities.

"Local officers are continuing to patrol the area to maintain safety.
