A man's been found guilty of attempted murder - after injecting a shop owner with a needle in Northallerton.

58 year old Darren Harris attacked his victim with a muscle relaxing anaesthetic at the Betterdaze record store on the 2nd of July last year.

The jury at Leeds Crown Court heard how Harris - from Amesbury Court in Hemlington, in Middlesbrough - had worked as a nurse at James Cook University hospital for 24 years.

He didn't provide evidence in his defence.
