Man taken to hospital with suspected stab wound in North Yorkshire
Police were called out by the ambulance service to an incident in the Walmgate area of York
A man has been taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound to his chest following an incident in York.
Officers were called by the ambulance service to the the Walmgate area of the city at around 12.17pm today (3rd June 2025).
A cordon was put in place while officers examined the scene of the incident.
Police are continuing their enquires to trace the suspect involved.
Officers believe the people involved are known to each other and although of concern and alarming to the people who witnessed it, officers believe that the wider public were not at risk.
