Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision that led to the death of an 80-year-old woman in Filey.

It happened on Station Road at round 9am on Friday 28 February.

The ambulance service initially attended a report that a woman had fallen - and she died in hospital later that day.

Further enquiries have led officers to believe the woman’s injuries were caused by a collision with a vehicle and that the vehicle did not stop at the scene.

They're appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage who may have seen the woman in the time leading up to and being involved in the collision.

A man has been arrested in connection with the collision and is in police custody for questioning.
