Police are asking people not to ignore road closures around the Langdale wildfire, warning it’s for everyone’s safety and to keep access clear for emergency crews.

Firefighters say they’re putting in fire breaks at the scene.

There are nine fire engines there, plus specialist vehicles, and partner agencies are assisting with drones.

Road closures remain in place because of smoke in the area.

The force are still asking people to avoid the area and follow diversion signs.
