Joint investigations by Humberside Police and North Yorkshire Police have resulted in a man being found guilty of sexual offences following his appearance at Grimsby Crown Court on Monday, 15 December 2025.
After a four-day trial, 28-year-old McCaulay Parker, from Thanet Road in Hull, was convicted of two counts of sexual assault for targeting two vulnerable women in their homes in Hull and Skipton, North Yorkshire.
In July 2024, police were contacted by a woman who reported that she had been sexually assaulted by McCaulay Parker.
She told officers that Parker had initially approached her, presenting himself as a tradesman and offering his services. Although she declined, he returned the following week, ensured she was alone, and entered her home without permission.
Parker made inappropriate comments towards the woman before trying to touch her without consent, proceeding to sexually assault her.
Police launched an investigation and began reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to piece together the events, identify Parker, and gather evidence to support a charge. The footage confirmed Parker approaching the woman’s home and gaining entry without her consent.
Following this, Parker was listed as wanted on the Police National Computer (PNC) and was arrested at his residence a few days later.
While in custody, Parker denied all the allegations made against him and was subsequently released on bail pending further investigation.
In March 2025, North Yorkshire Police received a report from another woman who said she had been sexually assaulted in her home by a man posing as a door-to-door salesman. Officers were quickly dispatched, and a nearby man matching the description was identified. He was later confirmed to be Parker and was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault before being taken into custody.
Further checks revealed Parker was already listed on the Police National Computer (PNC) in connection with the earlier Hull case, and the Crown Prosecution Service subsequently linked the two incidents. After pleading not guilty to both charges, a trial was scheduled for December 2025.
Following the trial, Parker has been remanded and is due to return to Grimsby Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, 13 February 2026.
