Hollywood superstar plays gig in Scarborough
Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper among stars at Yorkshire venue
American supergroup Hollywood Vampires brought their electrifying rock spectacle to Scarborough, thrilling a sold-out audience of 8,000 on Saturday.
This show at TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre marked the band’s third date of just seven scheduled UK performances, marking their first return to live stages in nearly three years.
Hollywood Vampires comprises rock legends Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, delivering a night filled with iconic classics alongside their own standout material.
The performance kicked off with Hollywood Vampires' own hits like 'I Want My Now,' 'Raise The Dead,' and 'Dead Drunk Friends.'
The crowd was treated to renditions of Aerosmith’s 'Livin’ On The Edge,' David Bowie’s 'Heroes,' AC/DC’s 'Highway to Hell,' and Run-DMC’s 'Walk This Way.'
A memorable moment saw Cooper merging 'School’s Out For Summer' with Pink Floyd’s 'Another Brick In The Wall,' as huge balloons were pushed out into the crowd, which Cooper burst theatrically upon their return to the stage.
In homage to guitar legend Jeff Beck, the band concluded their one hour and 45-minute set with Beck’s 'High Ho Silver Lining.'
True punk and Goth-Rock icons The Damned kickstarted the event with a vibrant performance.
The show, encapsulating an explosive celebration of rock’s greatest icons, featured free editorial photos credited to Cuffe and Taylor.
The theatre’s season finale will see funk and disco legends Nile Rodgers and CHIC take the stage on 22nd August, concluding a record-breaking run at the historic Yorkshire venue.
