Murder arrest after man dies following Bridlington stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing in Bridlington.
Emergency services were called to First Avenue at around 5.20am this morning (10 August) following reports a man had been stabbed in the street.
Officers say an altercation is believed to have happened between two men, which left one of them with life threatening injuries.
He later died in hospital.
Police say they're still working to identify him and locate his next of kin.
A 24-year-old man was arrested near the scene on suspicion of murder.
He's currently in hospital with minor injuries.
The two men are believed to be known to each other.
A number of scene guards are in place on Flamborough Road, First Avenue, and Alexandra Promenade as investigations continue.
People are being asked to avoid the area.
