Appeal after pedestrian injured and house damaged in Strensall crash

Both the driver and the pedestrian were taken to hospital by ambulance

Police are asking for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man was injured and a house was damaged in a crash in Strensall near York.

It happened at around 6:45am on Tuesday morning (2 September), when a silver Land Rover Freelander hit a pedestrian before colliding with a house on a street called The Village.

Both the driver and the pedestrian were taken to hospital by ambulance - the driver was not hurt

The man hit by the car suffered only minor injuries.

Both were discharged later the same day. The person inside the house was not injured.

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw the vehicle before the crash or has dashcam footage that could help their investigation.
