Two people have been seriously injured after a crash on the A64 near York.

Two vehicles collided with a stationary car last night on the Eastbound side.

Two drivers were taken to hospital whilst a third person was treated for minor injuries.

The A64 Eastbound was closed all night to allow for forensic investigation work to be carried out at the scene.

It reopened at 10.45am this morning.

Police are now appealing for anyone who recalls seeing the vehicles involved prior to the collision to get in touch with them.
