Scarborough Athletic FC celebrated a decade of youth disability football, highlighting its importance in the community.

The Youth Disability Football programme, part of Scarborough Athletic FC's Community Foundations initiative ‘Football is for Everyone,’ has played a crucial role in supporting young people with Additional Learning Needs and Disabilities.

The programme began as ‘Frame Football’ in 2016 and was initiated by brothers Paul and Shaun Tymon.

They have remained key figures in the initiative, now called Team Seagulls.

Shaun Tymon said: “What started ten years ago as a simple idea has become a vital community for so many people. The positive impact on health, wellbeing and confidence - for our players and their families - has been incredible, and none of it would have been possible without the long-standing support of Scarborough Athletic FC.”

Team Seagulls Welcome New Players

Team Seagulls' sessions are held once a month at Scarborough Sports Village, with free training led by professional coaches.

The next session will be on Saturday, 21st February, from 11:00 to 12:30.
