York man to stand trial over alleged sexual offences

A 24-year-old man from York is due to stand trial over a number of alleged sexual offences in the city.

Max Evans, of Penleys Grove Street, will attend a plea and trial preparation hearing at York Crown Court on 16 March.

The charges relate to an alleged sexual assault on a woman, an indecent phone call, and two counts of exposure, with incidents said to have taken place between December 2025 and February 2026.
