Scott Lindsey appointed new York City Head Coach after Maynard's sacking
The announcement comes one day after the shock sacking of Stuart Maynard
York City FC have appointed Scott Lindsey as the club’s new Head Coach.
The announcement comes one day after former manager Stuart Maynard was sacked.
Maynard was sacked over what the club called a "difference in direction and vision".
Former Crawley Town boss Lindsey guided The Reds to promotion from League Two via the play-offs, and has experience with Swindon Town and Milton Keynes Dons.
Lindsey will be assisted by assistant manager Joao Alves and first-team coach Gary Elphick.
His first game in charge will be 3 August, with tomorrow's game against Peterborough being managed by Joao and Gary.
