CCTV image released in search for York city centre assault suspect
Police appeal to public for help in identifying man after serious attack
Authorities in York have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with in connection to a serious assault that occurred in the city centre.
At approximately 4.35am on Saturday, 9th May, the incident took place on Daveygate, where a man in his 20s was assaulted by a male suspect.
The victim sustained head and facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police are urging anyone with information that could aid the investigation to get in touch online as a first option.
