Woman given community order for shop lifting offences

A woman in her 40s has been has been sentenced to a community order and instructed to complete a drug rehabilitation programme after admitting three shop theft offences committed in Catterick.

On Friday police received reports from CCTV operators regarding a woman suspected of committing a series of thefts from stores in the town.

Officers established that the woman had entered Aldi, Farmfoods and B&M over the course of less than an hour, taking items from each store without paying for them.
