Fire crews, police, and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service will carry out a training exercise at the LNER Community Stadium in York on Wednesday, 15th July.

The exercise, scheduled between 9am and 2pm, will see crews practice their response to an incident where decontamination of the public is required.

Residents and visitors near the stadium or Vangarde Shopping Park are advised not to be alarmed by the presence of multiple fire engines and partner agencies.

GM Lee Adkin said:

"You may need see a number of fire engines at the LNER Community Stadium on Wednesday 15th July whilst we take part in this planned trained exercise. I would like to thank the stadium for allowing us access to their site and facilities. Working in partnership with other organisations allows us to test the effectiveness of our response if a real incident of this kind was to occur and continually improve our service to the community."
