Three arrested after woman assaulted in York disturbance
Incident occurred on Colliergate near Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate
Three people have been taken into custody after an altercation on Colliergate in York resulted in a woman being assaulted.
The incident was reported shortly after 2pm this afternoon, Monday.
The victim, a woman in her forties, was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
The suspects include a 42-year-old man and two women aged 49 and 57.
At present, they remain under police custody.
North Yorkshire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the disturbance and hasn't yet contacted them to come forward.
