Another arrested after Tang Hall shooting

Another person has been arrested in relation to a shooting in Tang Hall, making the total number of arrests four.

Officers say a man shot at a parked vehicle on Saturday night (7 March 2026) outside an address on Starkey Crescent.

There were no reported injuries.

The arrests

A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a certificate and criminal damage.

Those previously arrested include:

  • A 34‑year‑old man on suspicion of possession of a firearm and criminal damage
  • A 32‑year‑old man on suspicion of possession of a firearm
  • A 29‑year‑old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender

A targeted incident

The shooting is believed to be a targeted incident with no wider risk to the public.

Detectives are continuing to investigate and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
