Series of deliberate fires started in and around Tadcaster
Community urged to assist with inquiries into recent fires
North Yorkshire Police are investigating several deliberate fires that have occurred recently in and around Tadcaster.
The force say starting fires may seem minor to some, but the impacts can be severe, endangering lives, damaging properties and the environment, and affecting the wider community.
Police are actively working on the cases and are appealing for assistance from the public.
They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who:
Witnessed suspicious behaviour linked to the fires
Has knowledge of individuals who may be responsible
Possesses photographs, videos, or evidence related to the incidents
Has seen relevant content on social media platforms such as Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram, or other messaging services
