Scarborough drug dealer jailed for supplying Class A substances

A Scarborough drug dealer, who once boasted of a lifestyle akin to a rock star, is now facing over two years in prison.

Nathan Stone, 32, was sentenced to 34 months in jail after being convicted of supplying Class A drugs in Scarborough.

Stone's downfall began on 4th June 2026 when police patrolling King Street noticed his suspicious behaviour and pulled him over.

Upon the search of his car, Stone attempted to flee but was quickly captured by officers.

In a bid to destroy evidence, he tried to break his mobile phone in half.

Despite his claims that the phone held no incriminating evidence, police analysis revealed multiple messages between him and others arranging drug deals.

Additionally, texts from Stone detailed his lavish stays in five-star accommodations, starkly contrasting his police interview statements where he claimed to be unemployed, having previously worked as a bricklayer.

Inside Stone's vehicle, officers discovered weighing scales and a container with a blue bag containing white powder.

Charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, Stone pleaded guilty on 6th July at York Crown Court.

He was sentenced today, 2nd September, at the same court.

DC Alfie Thomlinson of Scarborough CID, who led the arrest and case against Stone, commented: "Nathan Stone thought he could exploit others for his own ill-gotten gain... Those like him should know that detectives at North Yorkshire Police will relentlessly investigate and disrupt their selfish crimes."
