Appeal after Scarborough Altercation

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a confrontation between two men in Scarborough on Monday evening.

The incident took place at around 6:30pm on April 14 at the junction of North Marine Road and Castle Road.

Officers responded quickly to reports of an altercation and arrested two men at the scene.

A man in his 30s was taken into custody on suspicion of affray and possession of a bladed article.

A second man, in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a Class B drug.

Both individuals have since been released on conditional bail as investigations continue.

Police are now urging anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident to come forward.
