A public meeting is being held in York tonight, to let people raise concerns about the water industry.

MP Rachael Maskell will host the event at the Friargate Quaker Meeting House.

She says it is important that the community comes together to raise concerns with those who have the power to change them.

She says: “I, like so many in York Central and the country, am extremely concerned about the direction of our water industry. We can often feel a lack of power to influence the future direction, which is why it is so important that we come together to formulate a plan for the city moving forwards.

Engagement from both Yorkshire Water and the Environment Agency on this is vital to get the lasting change we need, and it therefore great that they are able to have representatives at such an event”

Those wishing to attend can get tickets via Eventbrite under the listing "Voicing Our Water Industry Concerns."
