Police investigate after man dies at Dales Wood

Police are appealing for information following the death of a man near Knottingley.

The 52-year old was fatally injured after a quad overturned on private land at Dales Wood on Saturday afternoon.

Despite efforts from member of the public and emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic Sergeant Mark Patterson said: “I would like to thank the members of the public who assisted the emergency services at the scene.

“I’d also request that anyone who was in the Dales Wood area between 3pm and 4pm who saw the man riding a green Honda quad bike gets in touch with us if they have not already done so, as it may help our investigation into the incident.”
