Scarborough burglar jailed after breaking into flat as occupants slept

He's been sentenced to four years in prison

A man from Scarborough who burgled a flat whilst the occupants slept has been jailed for four years.

43-year-old Nicholas Polihronos broke into a flat on Blenheim Terrace at around midnight on 18th December 2025.

The victims called the police after they woke up and found a window had been forced open.

A laptop, a mobile phone, a pair of trainers, perfume, and two vapes had been taken.

Officers arrested Polihronos the next day, and recovered all items apart from the vapes.

He pleaded guilty to a dwelling burglary.
