Missing man's body found near Easingwold after five months

A man's body which was found near Easingwold has been identified as a man who's been missing since November 2025.

Officers were called out to open land near Easingwold on Friday 17th April.

The body found has now been identified as Robert Rees-Hughes.

Robert was reported missing on 29th November, with extensive searches carried out in the weeks after.

North Yorkshire Police say that Robert's family have been made aware and are being supported.

They've thanked people for sharing their appeal and providing information to help with the search.
