Today marks the final opportunity for residents, businesses, and organisations to participate in the public consultation regarding the future of Police and Fire service buildings in Malton.

Led by Mayor David Skaith, the consultation seeks perspectives on conducting specialist survey work to assess the potential for a new joint Police and Fire station in Malton, addressing the current facilities' shortcomings.

While no decisions have been made, responses will be critically evaluated alongside other available evidence before determining further actions.

Deputy Mayor for Police, Fire and Crime, Jo Coles, emphasised the importance of public participation: “Listening to residents and local businesses is key to delivering effective local services, so we welcome responses from everyone living or working in York and North Yorkshire.”

The consultation aims to gather insights from a diverse group of stakeholders, including public members, businesses, community groups, and employees of North Yorkshire Police and Fire and Rescue Service.

To share your views, complete the online survey by today at the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority website. The survey requires approximately 10 minutes to finish.
