Four hospitalised after single-vehicle crash in North Yorkshire

The collision happened on the southbound A1(M)

Four people have been taken to hospital following a single-vehicle collision on the southbound A1(M) near Leeming Bar.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.15am yesterday (1st January).

All four occupants of the car, a white Hyundai i20 hatchback, are in a stable condition in hospital.

A woman in her 20s suffered a serious hand injury.

Lane one of the motorway was closed for some time.
