Crews battle extensive stubble field fire in Hunmanby

Fire services are continuing to tackle a large stubble field fire in Hunmanby, which spans approximately 100 metres by 1000 metres.

Crews from Scarborough, Malton, Pickering, Whitby, Driffield, and Bridlington joined forces to respond to the call, which came in at 12:47 yesterday (9 August).

Specialised equipment is being utilised, including the water bowser from Tadcaster and the argocat from Kirkbymoorside, to help contain the blaze.

Efforts to surround and control the fire are ongoing, according to reports.
