Police confirm 52-year-old Nicholas Parkin from Beckwithshaw as crash victim

Police have confirmed the identity of a man who died in a fatal collision near Harrogate on Friday, 24th October.

He has been named as Nicholas Parkin, aged 52, from Beckwithshaw.

In a tribute, his family described Nicholas as “a much loved family member” and released a photograph of him through North Yorkshire Police. Officers said their thoughts remain with the family at this deeply sad time.

The collision, which involved Mr Parkin’s blue Citroen C2, happened at around 10pm on Pot Bank near Beckwithshaw, when the car left the road and collided with a tree.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who may have seen the vehicle before or during the collision.
