Detectives investigate York robbery
It happened last night
Detectives in York are investigating, after a robbery in York last night (6 October).
Police were called at around 8.15pm, to reports that a man, wearing a balaclava, had entered Morrisons Daily store on Moorcroft Road, threatened the staff and ordered them to open the tills.
He then stole some cash from the tills and ran off from the store.
Extensive enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspect, including examination of CCTV in the area.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident is asked to get in touch along with anyone who has doorbell video or private CCTV footage which may have captured the suspect as he ran off from the store.
Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information for incident number 12250189286.
No-one was injured during the incident.
