CCTV appeal after woman in her 90s targeted by thieves

Police are trying to identify three people, after money was stolen from a woman in York.

The victim, who is in her 90s, was followed from Lloyds Bank in York city centre into Marks & Spencer on Parliament Street, on Friday 12 June.

Once inside, she was approached by a group of people, who took cash from her. The victim only realised the money was missing when she went to pay for the items she had picked up. She was understandably left very distressed and upset.

As enquiries continue, officers have released CCTV images of three people they want to speak to, as they may have important information that could assist the investigation.
