CCTV appeal after assault in York

Police are looking to identify a man, after an assault in York.

At 12.15am, in the early hours, of Sunday 26 April a man was trying the car doors of a white vehicle parked on Walmgate. The man then assaulted and verbally abused people who have gone to challenge him.

Four people received minor injuries in the incident, one required hospital treatment for concussion.

A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with this incident, and has been bailed whilst our enquiries continue.
