Residents in Richmondshire are welcomed to attend community roadshow events to learn more about the upcoming Catterick Integrated Care Centre (CICC), a £110 million facility set to open in summer 2026.

Organised by the NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence (MOD), these drop-in events provide an opportunity for the public to engage directly with staff, understand the centre's operation, and explore the support it offers to local residents and military families.

Health and care teams will be visiting libraries, village halls, markets, and other community venues throughout March and April, discussing the transition of services to the new centre and its role in enhancing existing NHS provisions.

The CICC represents the largest collaborative health partnership between the NHS and MOD to date.

Designed to treat up to 1,000 people daily, the centre will host a range of non-emergency services, including primary care, rehabilitation, specialist dental care, mental health support, and other treatments, all within a modern, purpose-built environment.

Col Tariq Ahmad, Regional Clinical Director, Defence Primary Healthcare (North), and CICC Clinical Lead, expressed the significance of this integration: “The Catterick Integrated Care Centre brings NHS and Defence healthcare together in one place, improving access and continuity of care for everyone who lives and works in this area.”

Dr Emma O’Neill, NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB Clinical Lead for North Yorkshire Place and CICC Clinical Lead, added, “The centre will provide many services closer to home and will play an important role in supporting our local hospitals. We want people to feel confident about where to go when they need care.”

Further information on the Catterick Integrated Care Centre project is available on the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership's dedicated webpage.
