Body of man in his 60s discovered in Ripon Canal
Enquiries ongoing to identify and locate next of kin
A body was discovered in the Ripon Canal near Boroughbridge Road yesterday morning.
Emergency services arrived at 08.41 am on 13th September after a member of the public made the report, uncovering a man in his 60s in the water.
Authorities have not identified any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
Efforts are ongoing to identify and locate the man's next of kin, who may reside outside of North Yorkshire.
The road was temporarily closed during investigations but has now reopened.
