Appeal for information after two 19-year-old women spat at in York

They were attacked on a bridge near Foss Island last Wednesday (Feb 12)

Police are appealing for information following an assault in York.

The incident happened at 9.15pm last Wednesday (12th February) on a bridge between Foss Island and Palmer/Carmelite Street.

Officers say an unknown suspect spat at two 19-year-old female victims.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall, with a slim build and light or short/bald hair. He is also described as having a Yorkshire accent, a large nose, gappy/bad teeth and a distinctive swaying walk.

He was wearing a grey puffer jacket, black joggers, and black trainers.
